This team is at school even before everyone else arrives and only leave when there are no more students to lock the door.
Mr P. (Patrick) van der Heijden:
“On the first day of school, all the bridge students receive their locker key from me. That’s nice, because I get to see everyone right away and we can introduce ourselves to each other.
What I like about my work is that I can help pupils.
I also sometimes go on trips with pupils and teachers. The two England trips were great. Pupils get to know you very well. The best conversations with pupils arise during the trips and when we are back at school, I notice that the bond with those pupils has become even stronger.
We also laugh a lot. I like to make fun of pupils from time to time. A joke at times is really part of it! The atmosphere at our school is warm and pleasant, it feels like coming home every day here.”
