Gifted and highly able students

Room for your talents
Some students learn quickly, think creatively or are curious about topics that go beyond the regular curriculum. It is important that school continues to provide enough challenge and inspiration. At Stedelijk College Eindhoven, you will have the opportunity to develop your talents further, helping you stay motivated and continue to enjoy learning.

Learning at your level
Every student develops in their own way. That is why we work together to identify the type of challenge that suits you best. Using a CBO assessment, we gain a better understanding of your strengths, talents and areas for development. This enables us to provide enrichment and extension opportunities that match your interests, abilities and learning needs.

Enrichment and extension
Additional challenge can take many forms. You may work on extension projects, explore topics that interest you in greater depth and develop your critical and creative thinking skills.

You will also have opportunities to work independently, develop new skills and challenge yourself both within and beyond your regular lessons.

Challenge Programme and Peer Group
For students seeking additional challenge, we offer opportunities such as our Challenge Programme. Through this programme, you will work towards personal learning goals and have the opportunity to further develop your talents and abilities. You can also take part in a peer group for gifted and highly able students. Here, you will meet other students with similar interests and experiences, share ideas and learn from one another while encouraging each other to grow and achieve your potential.

POINT 040

Stedelijk College Eindhoven participates in POINT040.
POINT stands for Appropriate Education for Every New Talent, 040 stands for the Eindhoven region.

POINT is a workshop focused on educational research. Primary school teachers, pabo teachers, scientists and students together investigate how to improve appropriate education for gifted and highly talented pupils in particular. Scientific research is carried out in the workshop by university scientists as well as practical research by teachers. The research questions of the scientific research come from the POINT teachers. The POINT teachers also contribute ideas on, for instance, the information letter to parents and they coordinate the data collection within their school.
