Moving to secondary school is a big step. There are new subjects to study, new classmates to meet and a whole new environment to get used to. That is why we make sure you never have to face it alone. From your very first day, you will be supported by a learning coach and a mini coach, who will help you settle in quickly and start your secondary school journey with confidence.

Supporting you every step of the way
Your learning coach and mini coach each have their own role, but together they help ensure that you feel welcome and make a successful start. Whether you have a question, need some support or simply want to talk something through, there is always someone ready to help. This gives you the confidence to grow, embrace new challenges and achieve your full potential.

Your learning coach
Every student is assigned a learning coach. They are your main point of contact at school. Together, you will discuss how things are going, celebrate your achievements and set goals for the future.You can turn to your learning coach for support with schoolwork, planning and assessments, or simply for a chat. Together, you will reflect on your development and discuss what you need to succeed and continue growing.

Your mini coach
In your first year, you will also be paired with a mini coach. This is an older student who remembers exactly what it was like to be new to secondary school. Your mini coach will help you find your way around, share useful tips and be there to answer any questions you may have. From the very beginning, you will have someone by your side who understands the experience and can help you feel at home in your new school.
