Your learning resources

Starting Well Prepared

A successful start begins with the right learning resources. That is why we make sure you have everything you need from your very first day at school. At Stedelijk College Eindhoven, we use a combination of printed textbooks and digital learning resources. This allows you to benefit from the structure of traditional textbooks as well as the advantages of interactive digital materials. Together, they provide the foundation for your learning every day.

Textbooks and learning materials
We work together with VanDijk for our textbooks. You do not need to order or put together your own textbook package, as we take care of this for you. During the summer holidays, you will receive information from VanDijk about the textbooks that have been ordered for you. Once your package has been dispatched, you will receive a tracking code so that you can follow the delivery.

In addition to your textbooks, your teachers will provide a variety of learning materials throughout the year, such as assignments, worksheets and digital resources linked to your lessons. These will be made available to you at school or through our digital learning environment.

Your Chromebook
Every student at our school uses a Chromebook. You will use it during lessons for assignments, digital learning programmes, projects and collaborative work with classmates. As a result, the Chromebook is an important part of everyday learning at our school.

We work in partnership with Easy4U (The Rent Company). Through their school webshop, you can order a Chromebook that fully meets the requirements of our educational programme. The devices are durable, ready to use and come with all the necessary software installed. There are also several additional benefits, including a loan device if repairs are needed, a protective sleeve made from recycled ocean plastic, and insurance against accidental damage and theft. This allows you to use your Chromebook with confidence.

Once you have been offered a place at our school, your parents or carers will receive a webshop access code. This will give you immediate access to the selected Chromebook models and the available service packages.
Good to know: through our educational foundation, you will receive a contribution of €100 towards the purchase or rental of your laptop. This discount is applied automatically during the ordering process.

Other equipment
In addition to your textbooks and Chromebook, you will need a few other items during your time at school. These include pens, notebooks, a set square, sports kit and a calculator. For several subjects, we recommend the Texas Instruments TI-30XB MultiView calculator.

An atlas and dictionaries are not required, but they can be useful when completing homework assignments or preparing for assessments.
