Who are we

Stedelijk College Eindhoven is a public secondary school with two locations. The location at Henegouwenlaan is the largest location with approximately 1500 students and 170 staff members.

At our school you learn new things and students find a place where they quickly feel at home. At our school you can be yourself and continue to develop. The most important thing is that you feel comfortable at our school. We are convinced that you have to feel good about yourself in order to get the most out of yourself. And that is what we strive for. Students who feel good about themselves ultimately get better grades. At our school, your path and your future are central!

It’s all about you

We are a school that dares to be at the forefront of new developments that benefit students. Based on our vision of learning, in the coming years we will gradually stimulate the ownership of pupils in their learning process. Already now, students are actively participating in the participation council and the student parliament.

It will increasingly be possible for students to determine their own route in learning, both inside and outside the classroom. In that respect, we are a no-nonsense school.

Here you are allowed to be who you are. Nothing is a point, you can dress however you want and there is plenty of room for extras. Our school is all about commitment and we pass that feeling on to our students. The relationship between our teachers and students is always based on trust. Everyone belongs and we are proud of that!

Support and attention for everyone

Every student is different. That is why we offer tailored support, tailored to what a student needs to feel comfortable and develop to their full potential. This may include, for example, support for dyslexia, ADHD, autism, giftedness and high intelligence, high sensitivity, or other support needs.

Various specialists work closely together within our school. Thanks to the close links with internal and external experts, we can respond quickly and offer appropriate support. In this way, we ensure that every student receives the guidance that suits them best.

Global Citizenship

Our education is delivered in a context-rich learning environment that is international minded. Thus, the world curriculum competence is woven into our education. Model United Nations (MUN) has now become a household name. We have our own MUNsce and they organise a major annual conference for and by students from our school.

Language-friendly school

At our school, we place great emphasis on language and multilingualism. Almost everyone speaks more than one language, such as English. Multilingualism helps you to communicate more effectively, learn new things more quickly and connect more easily with people from different cultures. That is why we are a language-friendly school: we value all languages and see our pupils’ multilingual and cultural backgrounds as an asset.

We offer various opportunities to further develop language skills, such as Chinese, Russian, extra French (DELF Scolaire), Spanish (DELE) and German (Goethe). In addition, we are the only school in Eindhoven offering Bilingual Education (TTO), where most of the lessons are taught in English. For pupils who have not yet fully mastered the Dutch language, we provide tailored NT2 support. In this way, we ensure that every student can develop to their full potential.

Techlab: discover, design and innovate

In a rapidly digitising world, we believe it is important that pupils are not only users of technology, but also creators and thinkers. That is why we have the Techlab at our school: a future-oriented space where technology, creativity and innovation come together. Here, pupils work with modern equipment such as robotics, virtual reality, drones, laser cutters and 3D printers. They learn to programme, design and research, bringing ideas to life. Our starting point is that technology is for everyone. All pupils are exposed to these new technologies.

For us, the Techlab is more than just a room full of machines. It is a place where students are challenged to create, experiment and innovate. An environment that stimulates talent and prepares students for a world in which technological literacy is indispensable.

A healthy school

Attention to health and conscious living is getting more and more attention. And rightly so, because health is an important topic and inextricably linked to your well-being. We are a healthy school and also want to make it easier for your parents/carers to raise you healthily. Besides the family, the school is an obvious environment for promoting a healthy lifestyle. Together with your classmates, at our school you will explore topics such as exercise & sports and smoking, alcohol & drug prevention.

We are part of Brainport Eindhoven!

Brainport Eindhoven is a network of schools, companies and organisations in the Brainport region. Schools that are part of it offer future-oriented education with a strong focus on creativity, technology, entrepreneurship and internationalisation.

The Brainport Schools work together to provide good education that prepares you for the world of today and tomorrow. It is important that you keep learning, even when you are an adult. By working together with other schools, companies and organisations in the region, we can make education even better and more attractive.

Trion training school

Stedelijk College Eindhoven is affiliated with Trion training school. Special focus within Trion is on customisation, video feedback, internationalisation, youth coaching and digital didactics.
