Parents

As a parent, it is important to be closely involved in your child’s educational learning process. In the bridge class, we start with an introductory evening for parents. They can then get to know each other, but also your learning coach, who is their first point of contact when it comes to you.

In addition, there are three moments during the school year when a triangular meeting is scheduled: this is a meeting between them, your learning coach and you. There are also opportunities for teacher-parent talks, here your parents can ask specific questions per subject area. Any questions in between? Then there is always room for an extra appointment!

Our school works with SOMtoday as a student monitoring system and this allows you and your parents to gain insight into your timetable, homework and grades. They can also make their own notification in this system for a visit to the dentist or report that you are ill.

Parent(s)/carer(s) can also be active together with us! Many parent(s)/carer(s) enjoy being able to collaborate with us. To this end, we have two opportunities in which they can participate:

  • Resonance Group (RG)
  • Parent council (OR)
  • Parental contribution

Parental contribution
The parental contribution is voluntary. It pays for accident insurance, use of the media library facilities, a school pass and a locker. For some activities that are not covered by the voluntary contribution, we do ask for a contribution, such as when you follow a bilingual course and go abroad or when you take exams in certain subjects (drawing or physical education – LO2).
