Bilingual education at havo
Want to make your havo time just that little bit more challenging and international? Then choose bilingual education! In the junior year, at least 50% of your lessons are taught in English. You will learn to understand, speak, read and write the language in a natural way. Even if your English is not that strong yet, you will learn it quickly – because you use it every day.
You will not only learn English, but also other important skills: presentation, debating and cooperation. You participate in cool projects, field trips and exchanges. In this way, the world literally enters your classroom. You learn about other cultures, come into contact with people from different countries and develop a broad view of the world.
In addition, cool trips are organized during your time at school. Bilingual education makes your school period not only instructive, but also super interesting, adventurous and a great preparation for a future as a confident world citizen.
Havo-P (Practical Programme)
At our school, you can also follow havo-p within havo: a practical learning pathway in which learning and doing go hand in hand. Pupils apply skills in real projects for companies or organisations and work on challenging assignments that combine different subjects, such as technology, art, history, mathematics and physics. The programme bridges the gap between theory and practice and prepares pupils for higher professional education. In addition, havo-p stimulates problem-solving skills, collaboration and communication, and motivates pupils through assignments that are relevant and meaningful.
In havo-p, pupils work on a wide range of projects: from designing games and 3D models of historical objects to assignments in collaboration with companies and external partners. In this way, they discover their talents, apply their knowledge directly and prepare themselves optimally for further education and practice.
