Gifted students

Attention for you and your talents
At Stedelijk College Eindhoven we find it very important that you feel comfortable and enjoy coming to school. That is why we pay a lot of attention to you as a student and to what you need to grow and develop yourself.

Smart and curious?
Some pupils learn faster, think creatively and are curious about complicated or special subjects. We call this multiple or giftedness. This means not only that you pick up school subjects easily, but also that you like to be challenged and sometimes think differently from others.

Peer group more- and gifted
For these pupils, we have special programmes such as the peer group more- and gifted. Here, you get together with other pupils who, like you, are keen to continue learning and discovering. This way, you meet peers who understand you and can face new challenges together.

Challenge Programme
In addition, there is the Challenge Programme, a challenging and personal programme. You set your own goals, make your own choices and receive guidance to develop your talents even further. This allows you to grow at your own pace and in your own way, working on what you find important.

Who can participate?
You can participate in these programmes if the CBO screening shows that it is a good fit for you. We do this test at the beginning of the school year. The screening gives us a good picture of your capacities and helps us to adapt the education so that you are challenged and continue to enjoy learning.

Your growth and motivation come first
With this special offer, we ensure that everyone gets what he or she needs. This keeps you motivated and involved in your own learning process and allows you to get the best out of yourself, just your way.

POINT 040

Stedelijk College Eindhoven participates in POINT040.
POINT stands for Appropriate Education for Every New Talent, 040 stands for the Eindhoven region.

POINT is a workshop focused on educational research. Primary school teachers, pabo teachers, scientists and students together investigate how to improve appropriate education for gifted and highly talented pupils in particular. Scientific research is carried out in the workshop by university scientists as well as practical research by teachers. The research questions of the scientific research come from the POINT teachers. The POINT teachers also contribute ideas on, for instance, the information letter to parents and they coordinate the data collection within their school.
